Dr. Michael Mayom Ajith (PhD) is a mining engineer who has specialized in ASM safety, sustainability, and productivity. In addition to having over 10 years of experience in large-scale mining (LSM) operations and planning. He has demonstrated proficiency in various areas of ASM operations, including ASM mapping, ASM development and operation, regulatory  and policy formulation, as well as health and safety and sustainability of ASM operations.  Dr. Michael Ajith has authored several peer-reviewed publications in top-tier journals such as Safety Science, Safety and Health at Work etc.  He holds a Ph.D. in Mine Safety from Curtin University, as well as a Master of Mining Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering Science (Mining Engineering) from Federation University (formerly the University of Ballarat).
